The Advanced Bariatric Care Center of Experience in Healthy Weight Loss is staffed by Board-Certified physicians and a team of highly skilled and trained professionals that will assist and guide you every step of the way. A multi-disciplinary and individualized, medically supervised weight loss center that has been established with a dual purpose; to ensure that every aspect of the program is specially designed to help the patient reach their weight loss goal and to provide the perspective bariatric surgery patient with the mandatory 6 to 11 months of medically supervised weight loss treatment prior to insurance approval of the surgical procedure.
ABC is a total weight loss program for all patients. The fully medically managed, multi-disciplinary approach to weight loss is what makes Advanced Bariatric Care “Unique”. Our caring and compassionate staff will avail you of everything that you require to insure success. Dr. Sanjeev Rajpal, Director of the Center, together with Drs. Prem Patel and Ravi Kothuru perform the weight loss surgery at Brookdale University Hospital. All pre-op services and post-op follow up will be provided at the Flatlands Avenue location.

We are proud to be the only program that offers a post-surgical program for the patients who have had gastric bypass surgery or gastric banding. We will offer a three month, a six month and one year program, where our patients will continue with support services. Patients will receive a comprehensive program to help successfully achieve with their weight loss goal.
This center is a private office affiliated with Brookdale University Hospital via referral and utilizes the specially trained surgeons at Brookdale and the Bariatric In-Patient Unit for surgical patients.
Bariatric In-Patient Unit: All surgical procedures are preformed at Brookdale University Hospital, the only hospital in Brooklyn with a dedicated in-patient unit. The state-of-the-art Bariatric Unit comprised of four private rooms is located on the sixth floor of the Snapper Building. We offer a caring team of professionals in a sensitized environment, with special equipment and amenities to accommodate the patients’ special needs.
