Welcome to the Brookdale Family Care Centers at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center

What began as a dream in the early 1990s to provide preventive and comprehensive primary care directly to the neighborhoods surrounding Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center has been realized.  In December of 1996, the final Brookdale Family Care Center formally opened its doors, completing a planned, six-center network of health care satellites.

Each Brookdale Family Care Center (BFCC) participates in Child Health Plus and accepts most insurance plans.

Services offered include:

• Adult internal medicine.
• Obstetric/gynecologic care (including breast exams and pap smears).
• Pediatric care (including well-baby and immunizations).
• Podiatric (foot) care is available at most sites.
• Dental (in New Lots and Linden and Euclid Avenue)

All the centers are organized like a private physician's office, with patients calling for appointments and seeing the same doctor each time.  There are accommodations at each center for walk-in urgent patients, and each center has 24-hour phone coverage. The Bristol Center is open on evenings. The Flatbush, Bristol, New Lots and Linden Boulevard Centers are open on Saturdays from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM.

All patients enrolled in the Brookdale Family Care Centers have access to the specialty services at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center.
