The baby of the Brookdale Family Care Center family, this center celebrated its opening in December 1996. Elected officials and community leaders from local organizations, churches, schools and senior and day care centers from the East New York/Brownsville community attended. The facility is designed to handle 50,000 visits a year.
This Brookdale Family Care Center (BFCC) provides:
- Adult internal medicine.
- Dental
- Family practice
- Free pregnancy testing
- HIV counseling and testing
- Obstetric/gynecologic care (including breast exams and pap smears).
- Pediatric care (including well-baby and immunizations).
- Podiatric (foot) care.
Like all Brookdale Family Care Centers, this one is organized like a private physician's office, with patients calling for appointments and seeing the same doctor each time. There are accommodations for walk-in, non-emergencies, and 24-hour phone coverage.
All patients enrolled in the Brookdale Family Care Centers have access to the specialty services at The Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center. |
