The Division of Gastoenterology is staffed by Board-Certified physicians and a team of highly skilled and trained nurses in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal, hepatic and nutritional disorders.
Services of the Division of Gastroenterology include a full range of diagnostic and endoscopic services and a GI Motility Center for chronic and persistent gastroenterological symptoms.
Such symptoms include:
- Swallowing difficulties or pain.
- Unexplained asthma.
- Non-cardiac chest pain.
- Nausea, vomiting, bloating, acid indigestion, gas.
- Constipation, diarrhea, fecal incontinence.
Services at the GI Motility Center include the most sophisticated diagnostic tests including esophageal 24-hour motility and pH studies, and anal motility, EMG and biofeedback. In addition, new treatments for Viral Hepatitis is offered utilizing active research protocols.
