These teams have the knowledge and skill to provide individualized treatment plans utilizing a full continuum of care.
The Behavioral Health Center at Brookdale offers a full array of programs designed to provide seamless comprehensive services. We are committed to culturally and linguistically sensitive, clinically sound and effective treatment for mental illness and to minimize its impact on both the patient and their families. As a major teaching hospital we strive to bring the best and most current treatment modalities to our community, while providing a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
We have developed new and innovative programs to address quality of life alternatives to hospitalization and the needs of special populations. These populations include the severely and persistently ill adult, the severely emotionally disturbed child or adolescent, the elderly, and those individuals who are diagnosed with co-occurrences of either substance abuse and/or HIV/AIDS.
Services: Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) provides crisis services, a fully staffed emergency room and extended observation beds (EOB) for adults (4 beds) and children (2 beds); ACT Team services (Assertive Community Treatment); Adult Continuing Day Treatment Program; Child Continuing Day Treatment Program, provide a full array of mental health and rehabilitative services in outpatient settings; Adult and Child Outpatient Clinics have convenient evening and weekend hours. We also provide Inpatient Psychiatric Treatment to children and adults. Services are provided based on the individual needs of the consumer.
