| The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine is staffed by Board-Certified physicians with the Chairman also Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. The doctors provide consultative, therapeutic and specialized diagnostic services to patients.
Modern and comprehensive physical facilities are located both at the hospital and at the adjoining Schulman and Schachne Institute for Nursing and Rehabilitation. A full range of physical therapy services are available in all institutions including hydrotherapy, therapeutic exercise machines, electrotherapy and many exercise regimes.
Occupational therapy is provided at the hospital and the Schulman and the Schachne Institute which includes functional and kinetic therapy simulating a home environment as well as fabrication of splints and adaptive devices.
Therapy services are provided on an inpatient and outpatient basis, weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The Speech and Language Department and the Brunner Developmental Disabilities Center are another part of Rehabilitation Medicine, providing diagnostic and therapeutic services. |
