The Division of Thoracic Surgery is staffed by Board-Certified Surgeons and a team of highly skilled and trained nurses.
The Thoracic team includes 3 additional participating Board Certified Thoracic Surgeons. All of whom are experienced cardiothoracic surgeons with special interest in general thoracic procedures (trachea, lung, thymus, pericardium, heart, esophagus and diaphragm) and especially minimally invasive thorascopic techniques.
Many of their procedures are performed with the use of Video Assisted Thoracoscopy, also known as VATS. This advanced technology usually shortens recovery time; reduces post-surgical pain, and; results in a shorter hospital stay. This division is dedicated to providing full service quality care for an extensive variety of standard and complex problems particularly targeting the high risk surgical patient. |
