The Division of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery offers a wide range of plastic and hand surgery procedures. Our board-certified plastic surgeons treat patients of all ages for reconstructive and cosmetic procedures, including conditions resulting from trauma, acquired, and those present since birth. We also coordinate and consult with other specialties as needed to provide a team approach to more complex reconstructive problems. Commonly performed plastic surgical procedures include body contouring, breast reconstruction, breast reduction, treatment of scars, and facial rejuvenation. We also specialize in the treatment of hand disorders such as carpal tunnel, trigger finger, and those resulting from trauma such as fractures, tendon damage and nerve damage. Our hand-fellowship trained surgeons can also provide state-of-the-art treatment of complex hand disorders. With microsurgical capabilities, Brookdale’s Division of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery is capable of performing even the most complex reconstructions, including free tissue transfers.
The experienced surgical staff provides many of the popular and frequently requested procedures. This includes body contouring for patients who have had massive weight loss and those with a desire to enhance their body appearance. Such procedures include abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), breast lift, and thigh lift. A comprehensive treatment plan can be coordinated with those patients undergoing weight loss surgery by the Brookdale Advanced Bariatric Care Center.
The Division of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery offers the residents of Brooklyn and its surroundings care for their plastic surgery and hand surgery needs. With an emphasis on education, our board-certified, fellow-ship trained surgeons provide state-of-the-art care for our patients. Patient education is the cornerstone of the treatment plan, and is stressed by our surgical staff.
